This has been going around Facebook, but I thought it would be fun here in the blogosphere as well. :) I have changed the rules a little in order to fascilitate the blogging world.

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 5 people who you would like to know more about to be tagged.
1. I love anything and everything about Japan, with the sole exception of fish. I know it's weird, but it's true.
2. I like to get a good deal. I will price compare almost any purchase over $20. The only way to get me to pay more for something is for a good cause or really good service. I'm also a sucker for gift cards.
3. I like to play video games, mostly RPGs. Sadly, when you grow up you have less free time, and my gaming time has suffered. I even quit World of Warcraft because I couldn't stand playing for a few hours and watching my wife sit on the couch and watch TV all alone.
4. I can't watch movies alone. I used to be able to, but there are so many other things I could be doing with my time, that it has to be a social event for me. Same goes for TV unless it's the news.
5. I love Japanese Animation. I love the style, the stories, and the characters. Sadly, my wife isn't the fan I am, (but she tries!) and she can't keep up with subtitles as well as I can, so my viewing has been cut very short. That, and again, I can't watch stuff alone.
6. I -LOVE- to travel, and have a personal goal to travel completely around the world in my lifetime. I have gone as far as Istanbul, Turkey one way, and Tokyo, Japan going the other. I have visited 8 countries and 3 continents.
7. Carrying on from #6, I hate to come home from a vacation. I truly do not feel you are home until your feet touch the ground, so I am technically never off vacation until I step out of a car on Utah soil.
8. I love to try new opportunities in managing something or being in a position with responsibilities, but
after about two months, I usually am ready to move on to the next thing.
9. The only exceptions to #8 so far has been when I have a job (I guess knowing I have to make a living suppresses the urge to move on) and when I was president of the anime club at Weber State University before I got married.
10. On the subject of the anime club, it had a handful of members when me and my friend JB first showed up to it, and the club president at the time offered me the position of president that same night we first went. I declined, but after about a year I took the position and increased attendance about 700% during my tenure.
11. I love basketball, and follow it as regularly as I can on the internet, but really only watch a game if it's important to me (playoffs), or if someone else is watching.
12. I like to read, especially good fantasy books. My favorite series are Lord of the Rings and The Sword of Truth novels. The latter are currently on TV as Legend of the Seeker, which is vaguely similar to the books in some aspects. :) The books are a million times better.
13. I went to Japan on foreign exchange for a month in 2009 with my best friend, JB. I still remember the dates, as I was so excited. July 10 - August 9. JB almost didn't go, and I was really excited when he finally decided to go with me.
14. My favorite food is supreme pizza, but with no black olives or mushrooms. When I was in Japan, me and JB went Odaiba (an island full of theme parks, shopping, and other fun stuff) about 2-3 weeks in, and had the best pizza we've ever had in our lives from a Pizza Hut. It was about $5-6 a slice, but it was so good I think I bought 2 slices.
15. I love to save money. I don't mean in the same vein as .10 off of yogurt; that is very nice and I like a good deal, but I love to save and have something to show for my efforts, as opposed to watching it all flow out to other people. It's just so rewarding to watch it grow.
16. I stabbed myself in the neck with a steak knife when I was about 6 years old. I loved to play with knives, and always found where my parents hid them. I was playing He-Man on the bed in my grandpa's house while my dad was outside working, and I tripped on the sheets and the knife that was supposed to be Skeletor's went in my neck. I missed my jugular vein by ~1/4". I went screaming to my dad; he asked where the knife was, I didn't want to tell him, but I did, and because I wasn't having blood spurt out of my neck, he just gave me a band-aid.
17. I married into a family that feels almost exactly like my mom's side of the family. Then I found out Dawni's grandparents and my grandparents were friends.
18. Me and my wife found out after we were married that we were "cousins" through a marriage on my mom's side. Nothing blood-related, just through some other people. I sometimes call her "my favorite cousin" just for fun.
19. I love camping, but don't like to hunt, and I don't like fish. So I need to bring all of my food with me. I also like to hike, but only under one condition, and that is that there are trees and shade. There is nothing worse than hiking in the sun on a hot day with no shade. Hiking through the woods in Japan? Heaven.
20. My favorite places in the world are: Southern Japan, California, and Florida. Sadly, the first has volcanoes, the second has earthquakes, and the third has hurricanes.
21. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. It's basically a major for those that like to run their own business, couldn't decide on a particular business degree, or management. Basically, you take a lot of classes from each business school but never go to all of the really hard ones in all of the schools. I like to say that it's a degree where I know if you're doing your job wrong, but I don't know enough to do it.
22. I am stubborn when I know I'm right, and always base my decisions on logic. It drives my wife nuts sometimes as she focuses more on emotion with her decisions, and when we are having an argument, if I know I learned something from somewhere or if her logic is messed up, I sometimes go overboard in proving my point.
23. I love animals, but I prefer the kind that can sit in my lap. Smaller dogs, cats, etc. I think having a monkey for a pet might be fun, but I'm not sure.
24. I can't stand paying money for cable or satellite TV, but when I am watching someone else's TV where they have more than broadcast TV, I love to watch the History Channel and Discovery Channel. I wish I could pay just for those two.
25. I can eat almost whatever I want and I stay at the same weight. My wife hates me for it, and my dad had the same metabolism when he was younger. He told me it starts to go away at 40. Even though I don't gain weight, I try to eat healthy, and don't like to eat things that are very sweet. I also don't understand people's obsession with food, especially dessert. Yes, it's good, but it's not as good as people play it up to be when looking at a menu or in a bakery. :)

And like all good rules, they are meant to be broken. Instead of tagging 5 people, I tag all of Dawni's sisters, my mother-in-law (Now I'm in trouble!), and all my cousins. That's enough people, I think.

I now know more about you than I ever wanted - I mean needed to know :) About the monkey. Doug had one in his apartment on his mission. It was not a pet, but VERY messy. I don't think we would recommend it.
That was fun to read, Zach! Some of it I knew and some of it was a total surprise to me. We'll see if I can come up with 25....
