More picts of Christopher

I am soo lucky to have a sister that does photography.  Here are some pictures that she took in the hospital the day he was born.

I love them all soo much.  He is so amazing :)

Happy Birthday Christopher Mark :)

The day started for me at 1am.  I started having contractions...which I didn't know were contractions at the time...and finally got Zach up about 3.  We finished packing the bag and headed to the hospital.  On the way, we almost hit a deer.  That would have been really good! I am glad that Zach has quick reflexes and was able to swerve around it :)
Once we got to the hospital and up to labor and delivery I was at a 4.  They called my Dr and he said to wait an hour and see if I progress before they admit me.  I took laps around the labor and delivery floor, they weren't the most comfortable laps ever :)   I was contracting about every minute and a half.   I went back and I did progress :)   I was way happy that they didn't have to send me home.  Once we were in the room, got my IV, and my epidural my water broke.  I knew I was there to stay for sure ^_^   I was scheduled to be induced the next night, but the baby had other plans :)

Just getting settled in :)  At about this time, the nurse started pit because my contractions slowed down due the the epidural. Later we found out that it was never connected to my IV and was dripping on the floor the whole time until I was almost at a 10.   We were all wondering why it took so long to progress :)

Doing something on my I-Pod.  Most likely updating Facebook.  I need something to do while we waited :)

Really enjoying this sucker :)  It was the only thing besides ice that I could have

I was getting shivery - I was almost at 10cm at this point.  They said it was normal, but the warm blanket felt soo good :)

Once I started pushing, and the Dr came in, he said that the baby was face up.  He said it would just be harder to get him out.  The Dr and the nurse got kinda nervous (apparently they exchanged more then one look of worry at each other) because the heart rate was dropping and not coming back up.  They put me on oxygen to see if that would help.  The Dr also tried to help with a vacuum (which never held, so it didn't do any good...at least that is what the Dr said at the end).  At 1:25pm, after an hour and a half of pushing, Christopher was born!!  He weighed 7lbs 12oz and was 20in long.

His poor bruised cone head :(

If you can make this picture bigger at all, it shows off his crazy long fingernails.

Gettin' all measured up and hating it

Nice big boy :)  All I can say is that I am glad that he wasn't much bigger or I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own.

I love this picture of Zach.  He looks like he doesn't know exactly what to do :)

Proud Dad!!

First family picture :)   I was an emotional mess.  What new mom isn't, right?

Happy mommy :)

This is a better picture of his poor head.  That is what he gets for doing things the hard way :)

Hanging out with Grandma Walker

Already has Grandpa wrapped around his little finger :)

Grandma Haugen.  This is their first grandchild.

Aunt Sherry :)

Grandpa Haugen

It was such an amazing, exhausting, emotional day.  I didn't know I could feel so many emotions at one time.  I am so glad that he is here and healthy.  I am such a lucky person to have such an amazing family.

Florida Day Two.

Our last day in Florida we went to the Metropolitan Zoo.

They had these animal sculptures in the ground.  It was really cool.

These are just a few pictures of the animals that we saw.  This zoo was soo huge, we couldn't make it through the whole thing in the morning before our plane left.

These elephants were really cool.  Since the dirt there was red, it turned the elephants red :)

Saving some food for later :)

 Can you see the Hippo?

And there you have it, our cruse and trip to Florida  :)   We didn't take any more pictures of going home because, yet again, the camera wouldn't work.  It made us really nervous since it wasn't our camera to start with. (it is working now however so no worries)
